Boxing fit

Hi everyone. I have an opportunity to take classes in a boxing fitness class locally. The way I understand it, the class consists of training on a heavy bag, a speed bag, throwing punches, and jumping rope. This is just a fitness class. No one is going to be beating the hell out of each other.
Has anyone done anything like this? I'm only worried about the jump rope thing. II'm trying to vvisualize jumping rope with no vision and I'm having some trouble with that.
I'm honestly kind of excited to try this for the challenge. Friends have been trying to talk me into this for a while, and now that I can get there I'm going to give it a try.
Any thoughts or comments?

I don't know how fancy they're going to get with the whole jumping-rope thing, but you should be able to do it. Jumping rope is largely about timing, not sight. If you are the one swinging the rope, then you should hit a point where you know when the rope is low enough to leap over. I learned to do it as a child, and even if I haven't done it in a long time, I don't remember it being particularly difficult.

Me, I say go for it.

Sure, all the things are going to be easy for you.
The speed bag will take you some time to learn to hit, but you'll get the feel.
Jumping rope is more a feel. You will not only feel the rope touch the ground when you need to jump, but hear it go snick.
The only thing that happens to me is I tend to move forward when I'm jumping. I fix this by facing a wall and when the rope hits it, I move back.
That may not even happen with you, so.
So, no worries. Smile. Have fun.

I did jump rope For Heart, many times. Best rope is the ones with the beads that look like plastic Penne noodles. Also, the plastic ones are best. Don't get the ones that are just rope and plastic handles.
I miss jumping. I only dream about it. Once I dreamed I would jump over the rope, and travel back in time. Weird, I know. But, that's me.
Blessings, and have a ball... Rope!

Agreed on the jump rope being doable. Throwing punches, but not receiving them? lol that all sounds good and Forereel that facing the wall trick is great. Even when I could see well I moved around.

Same here, but when you can see, you can adjust as you jump kind of.
Being blind, if you don't have a wall, you could jump rope to the corner.
Laughing.

Stick and move, stick and move. Don't forget to dance.
